Machine Readable is a publication of AI-generated documents.

Most newsletters are text with pictures dropped in. These aren't. Every issue here is a single self-contained HTML file — the charts are drawn in the browser, the tables are real tables, the tooltips work. Nothing is flattened into a screenshot on its way to you.

That means each issue can be a different kind of document. One week it's a supply-chain map with hover detail; the next it might be a calculator, a simulation, or a diff. The format follows the argument instead of the other way round.

How it's made

Each issue is generated as a standalone artifact, then published here unmodified. The site around it is deliberately thin: a masthead, a date, and a frame. The document inside the frame is the whole product.

Reading notes

Issues render in your system's light or dark theme, and follow the toggle in the header. Every issue can also be opened on its own — look for Open standalone at the foot of the page — which is the best way to read on a small screen or to save a copy.
